Josh (00:00:04) - Hey, guys. Josh here. The name of my podcast show is Uncensored Advice for men. And today we're going to do tips about microphones. So we're going to review a few different microphones for you podcasters out there in five minutes or less. What you're currently hearing is the short Mv7 and all of the links I could share with you guys. This is a short mv7, both XLR or USBc plugged in over here to my RODECaster Pro. All right, so this is the short mv7 plugged in to the road caster Pro I'm going to mute this and go to the next microphone. And then this is the Audio-Technica 2100 X. It's a newer model of the Audio-Technica 2100, which I used for years. This this little microphone also XLR plugged into the RODECaster Pro with the exact same gain settings on the. The thingamabob over there. All right. So this is the Audio-Technica 2100 I believe X is the model. Now what I'm going to do, you're going to hear just a quick moment of silence. And then I'm going to switch over to the cheap headphones that I bought at staples for I think, $15.

Josh (00:01:23) - So stand by one second. All right. And now you are listening to these are lightning headphones. They plug in straight to my iPhone and they have a microphone and inline microphone on it. So that's what you're currently hearing now. So you'll be able to go back and compare each of these. So I'm going to mute it. I'm going to mute this one more time so you could hear what it sounds like with the phone microphone. So hold on one second. I don't want you to blow your eardrums out. I'm going to mute. And now you are hearing the microphone from my camera. So if you were holding the your iPhone out ahead of you and this is what it would sound now some people hold it closer like this. So this is going to give you a different sample of this is straight into the iPhone. Think 14 Pro or something like that. So those are different microphones. The last one that I'm going to show you is just the my the MacBook Pro microphone. So if you think you could do a podcast interview straight from your MacBook Pro, let's switch to that now and to wrap it up on this final mic test.

Josh (00:02:57) - Now, this is in a quiet studio. This is the sound from a MacBook Pro microphone. All right. So I hope this helped you. My name is Josh. I'm the host of four podcast shows, including podcast host Army. And this was a few different mic text from the Shaw Mv7 to the Audio Technica 2102, an inline mic to just the phone to the MacBook Pro all pushed through the Rode Caster Pro two. If you want any of those links on which ones to get, let me know. But you hear the different audio and let me know which one you think sounded the best.
